Operatin Theatre Control Panels

Theatre Control panels (TCP) – Lexan, wipe-clean with touch screen.

The TCP uses the very latest technology to provide hospitals with the flexibility and functionality not available from previous generations of TCP.

Advantages of the TCP include:

  • Future proof-additional alarms, interfaces and controls can be added by simply modifying the software within the panel e.g. there is no need to cut a hole in the panel facia to add a new button or indicator.

  • The TCP easily interfaces with standard computer networks and can, for example, integrate with future packages such as digital video systems.
  • Wipe-clean – the panel facia is a continuous sheet of “Lexan” with no edges or grooves. Cleaning of the panel is therefore very easy.

  1. The picture shows a typical arrangement for alarms and controls on the TCP. If, for example, there is a problem with the oxygen supply, an audible alarm will sound and the green “O2 Healthy” will change to a red “O2 Alarm”. The programming of when the system re-alarms is user-definable.

All alarms and controls can be modified, even after installation, to suit any future changes in use of the operating theatre.
  2. The TCP contains a powerful computer processor designed to provide valuable information such as a history of temperature and humidity within the operating theatre over the last 24hrs. Other events such as date and time of alarms are also available.
  3. Typical dimesions of the TCP are 897mmH x 597mmW x 120 mmD. The panel is usually supplied with an anologue time-of-day and digital time elapsed clock. Other combinations of clocks can be offered together with matching X-Ray viewers and PACS monitors.
